The Most Expensive Spice
on Earth. Now in a
Fragrance That Deserves It.
Saffron is harvested by hand from the stamens of Crocus sativus. Each flower contains three stamens. Each stamen must be hand-plucked during a 3-week window in October. To produce one kilogram of saffron requires 150,000 flowers and 40 hours of labour.
Our saffron comes from Pampore, Kashmir — the only region in India where saffron is grown at altitude above 5,000 feet. The altitude produces higher concentrations of safranal, the compound responsible for saffron's signature metallic, honeyed quality. Pampore saffron is classified as GI-tagged; only saffron grown in this specific region can use the designation.
Saffron Reverie was built to let saffron be saffron — not hidden behind sweet synthetics, not drowned in oud. Bergamot opens it. Iris and violet give it depth. Tonka bean and warm amber close it. The saffron runs through all three layers.
"The most wearable fragrance we have made. And our most requested. Some things are popular for very good reasons."
